Dental Implants

A natural-looking way to replace missing teeth

A dental implant replaces the root of a missing tooth with a small titanium post, which supports a natural-looking crown. The result looks, feels and functions like your own tooth.

Implants are a particular focus for our principal dentist, Dr Saidul Islam, who holds a postgraduate diploma in implant dentistry.

What is a dental implant?

The implant

A small, biocompatible titanium post placed gently into the jawbone, where it acts as a replacement tooth root.

Osseointegration

Over a healing period, the bone naturally bonds to the implant, giving it the stability of a natural root.

The crown

Once healed, a custom-made crown is fitted to the implant — shaped and shaded to blend with your other teeth.

Your implant journey

Every implant journey is planned carefully and at your pace. A typical path looks like this:

Consultation — a thorough assessment, scans, and an honest conversation about whether implants are right for you.
Placement — the implant is placed gently and precisely, usually under local anaesthetic.
Healing — a period of healing while the implant integrates with the bone.
Crown fitting — your custom crown is fitted and adjusted so it feels just right.
Aftercare — ongoing reviews and hygiene support to keep your implant healthy for the long term.

Is it right for me?

Many people who are missing one or more teeth are suitable for implants. The best way to know is a consultation, where we assess your gum and bone health and talk through the options.

If implants aren't the right choice for you, we'll say so honestly and explain the alternatives.

Implant placement is usually carried out under local anaesthetic and most patients report little discomfort, with any soreness afterwards managed easily.
With good care and regular hygiene visits, implants are designed to be a long-term solution and can last many years.
Cost depends on your individual case. We'll give you a clear, written treatment plan and quote after your consultation, with no obligation.
It varies — there's a healing period between placement and the final crown. We'll set out a realistic timeline for your case before you decide.
